The 1st team squad built on the success of the 2010 season and posted some impressive results in 2011. Three members of the 1st squad represented the KZN A team at the Provincial Championships earlier this year and we are fortunate to have two of these players returning next year. Daniel Smith represented South Africa at the All African Championships at U19 level. He is only the second college boy to achieve South African colours for squash. We had quite a successful KZN champs, with our team losing narrowly in the finals to Michaelhouse. Our young first team did us proud as this is our best result in a number of years at the Champs. We hope they go one better next year.

Squash is a popular, social sport that combines speed, skill and mental strength. The values one attains from squash can be translated into any avenue - whether it is another sport or simply the timeless attribute of commitment.
The future bodes well as both our school number one Daniel Smith, and our U16 number one Shaun Wormington have national rankings.
Both of these boys were selected for SA Schools (Smith U16 & Wormington U14) to participate in a squash tour to Canada & America in December 2010.

OUR NATIONAL FINALIST:

Congratulations go out to Daniel Smith, who finished second in the country for U16 at the National Invitational's in 2010 - this is a remarkable achievement.
