Chairman's Report
At the outset, I would like to thank the management of Maritzburg College for its continued support of the Maritzburg College Muslim Students Association and for its continued existence. As a fledgling society, only in its second year, I feel the society has done much to be a forum for Muslim learners at Maritzburg College. The involvement of all members have been exemplary and ensured the success of all activities described later in this report. The MSA has definitely been an instrument of altruistic service to both the community in its charitable activities as well as Maritzburg College. The success of the society during 2011 would not have been possible without the assistance of Mrs Dickens, the teacher in charge of the organization. We also thank Mrs Tedder for allowing the society to use her classroom for both prayers and meetings. Both prayers and meetings were well attended with a dedicated group of members around 40 in total. The future looks bright for the society and I look forward to the continued success of the society.
